From the beginning, the aim behind lexicool.com has been to create a complete and efficient search utility for linguists, especially translators and interpreters. The site is run by an International team of linguists and IT specialists based in France, headed by Sebastian Abbo, the site's founder. The team's main task consists of finding and classifiying all bilingual and multilingual dictionaries and glossaries published freely on the Net. Each resource found is ranked as objectively as possible according to its presentation, ease of use, general usefulness and size (number of entries, number of languages). The position of a dictionary or glossary in search results depends on this ranking. The directory currently contains over 8000 links and new resources are being added daily.
